Cosmicnode is a fast-growing startup based in the Netherlands, focusing on developing scalable, reliable wireless lighting for offices, buildings and warehouses. Sharan explained that Cosmicnode’s scalable solutions refer to a wireless mesh network specifically for lighting controls.
He goes on to explain that what sets Cosmicnode’s products apart are the scalability and reliability offered, which is one of the most important factors in creating a successful wireless mesh network. Cosmicnode are challenging the notion that wireless mesh networks are not reliable for large networks, by proving that their products are reliable even when scalable to bigger buildings with thousands of light points.
Another point that sets Cosmicnode apart is that they pride themselves on being a radio agnostic company, providing multi-radio wireless mesh solutions that is interoperable among various systems. Cosmicnode’s wireless mesh networks are a suitable solution in all use cases, including outdoor, and they can be integrated with 3rd party system that the customer already has in place.
Touching on their customer base, Cosmicnode works with OEMs, manufacturers and system integrators, enabling manufacturers with a product with quick go-to-market.
Cosmicnode have achieved incredible success in Europe, with over 150,000 wireless nodes successfully deployed in a range of projects. The company have also seen success after branching out into the US, as their wireless mesh platform was named as a winner in LEDs Magazine 2023 BrightStar Awards. This awards programme recognises ingenuity in commercial product offerings across the LED and solid-state lighting supply chain, as determined by a panel of industry experts in design, manufacturing, and market development.
Launching the Infinity IoT Platform to the US market at LightFair is the next step towards Cosmicnode’s ongoing global success, branching out to offer wireless mesh network and control solutions to a wide range of markets and applications.
